We are an Authorized Reseller of Freedom Drums Percussion.  We carry both the traditional wood djembes and their new synthetic head Fiber Skin fiberglass djembes - in rope and key tuned models.

The new Fiberglass/FiberSkin Key-Tuned & Rope-Tuned Series djembes arrived in June 2010! The Midnight, Midnight Sky, Lava Flow, Emerald Glow, and Kente colored djembes come with either a key-tuned or rope-tuned head assembly, and Freedom Drum's FiberSkin brand synthetic head. These synthetic skins are the finest on the market, providing amazing sound and response while remaining impervious to fluctuations in humidity and temperature, meaning they maintain their tune longer. The unique features of the key-tuned models is the ability to change the pitch (note & sound) of the drum, and for easy head change or removal should it ever be necessary. Each of the drums comes standard with a Custom Fit case.

The Textured Fiberglass Series Doumbek has a metallic feel and geometric line pattern ink-printed onto the mylar head that is immune to weather changes. These amazing hand drums pack a real punch for the price, with smooth sustained bass uncharacteristic of other hand drums and doumbeks. They make a wonderful addition to any hand drum circle or percussion gig. Lightweight and durable, crackling sharpness and bass. A truly amazing hand percussion instrument.

The Griot Rose Talking Drum from Freedom Drums is constructed from 100% natural components. The shells are hand-carved from fine West African Tweenoba wood, and then polished to a shine using natural Shea Butter. The drum’s rings are wrapped in Rose colored Goat Leather and attached using a natural twine. The vertical ropes are 100% natural dried goat leather as well. Each drum comes with a hand carved mallet and authentic Kente Strap!
